Welcome to the Interactive CROP Haul Distance Map

This interactive feature allows you to view resource offerings matched to road miles and haul times. It also allows you to select any combination of search options desired (eg ponderosa pine/ post and pole/ NEPA approved; 2012; 50 radial miles) matched to road miles and haul times. Just click on the red Search Options bar below.

To determine road miles and haul times to volumes offered, just right click on the map to center 4 distance circles with straight radius of: 25 miles (red), 50 miles (blue), 75 miles (green), and 100 miles (orange) from the center (clicked) point. Draggable markers A and B represent the start and end, respectively, of a drivable route. Marker A represents the spot that was right clicked, with marker B meant to be moved to different supply locations. A summary of miles and estimated travel time appears in a box to the right of the map with light green background and step-by-step driving directions are displayed below the map.

To change road routes, move the mouse over the purple direction line (on the map) and drag the purple route line to a new location. Once the mouse is released, a second node will turn into a marker with a dot in the center, and can be dragged to new locations to recalculate new routes. To identify actual road miles in all directions from centerpoint, click on the blue Distance Polygon Creator bar to build a 360° polygon based on drivable routes set to a chosen maximum driving miles (25, 50, 75 miles, etc.). The driving distance polygon creator has two methods for building a polygon an automated creator as well as a manual create with an auto find to search for the next route at a given distance. The benefit of the manual creator is the ability to fine tune the miles to exactly the desired radius (by moving the B marker on the map to the desired point) before capturing the location. Also you have the ability to rearrange the order the locations are in, which will redraw the polygon into different shapes, by selecting the location coordinates for the point and moving them up or down the list. You may also delete coordinates from the list by dragging them out of the list and into the trash bin area.

Use the 'Clear Map' button below to clear the map, return to the original zoom level and reset the markers. This does not reset the search options selected, or the center point if you have right clicked on the map.

These numbered markers indicate that there are projects located too close together to show individually at the current zoom level, click the marker once to zoom in and see the individual projects. To zoom out again use the zoom controls in the upper left corner of the map. Use the button in the center of the direction arrow controls (above the zoom controls) with the tool tip: "Return to the last result" to go back to the original zoom level and map center without clearing the map.
